Map for CV

A small minimal map of the city you live in — or where the company is — gives your CV identity without stealing focus. Krymp Map does it in 30 seconds, entirely in your browser and in print quality.

How do I make a nice map for my CV?

Open Krymp Map, search your city or workplace, pick the Noir or Blueprint style and A4 format. Turn off the label layer if the CV already has lots of text. Export as PDF at 2× — you get a print-ready map that looks clean next to both headings and a portrait photo.

Why a map on a CV?

Maps make abstract geography concrete. Instead of writing "Stockholm", you actually show where — small visual weight, high recognition for the recruiter.

Style: keep it simple

For CVs, monochrome styles work best. Noir or Blueprint won't compete with the text. Skip Pastel and Warm — they fit weddings and Instagram better.

Format and size

A4 for a full section. 1:1 if you place it next to contact details. Use Krymp Map at 2× or 4× for print — that's 300 DPI without extra steps.

Local = no address leaks

Search goes via OpenStreetMap's Nominatim, but rendering happens in your browser. No address is stored and no account is required.

Vanliga frågor

Can I use the map in a commercial CV?

Yes — attribute "© OpenStreetMap contributors" somewhere in the document. Map data is ODbL-licensed and free to use.

How large is the map on A4?

Krymp exports 2480×3508 px (A4 @ 300 DPI). Enough for both screen CV and physical print without pixelation.

Can I hide street names?

Yes — layer toggles let you turn labels, roads or water on and off independently.
