iPhones save photos as HEIC by default — smaller files but unreadable on Windows, older Outlook and most web forms. Krymp converts HEIC to JPG locally in your browser using libheif WASM, with EXIF metadata (date, camera, GPS) preserved by default.
No account, no watermark, no daily cap. Batch convert hundreds of photos and download as a ZIP.
Private. Files are processed in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
Free, unlimited. No account, no watermark, no daily caps.
How it works
- 1Open the converter. Drop your .heic or .heif files into the browser.
- 2Pick JPG quality. 85–90 % keeps photos crisp; lower gives smaller files.
- 3Convert locally. Conversion runs in your browser — files never leave your device.
- 4Download JPGs. Save individually or as a ZIP batch.
FAQ
- Why convert HEIC to JPG?
- Windows, older Outlook, many web forms and most non-Apple devices don't read HEIC. JPG works everywhere.
- Does converting lose quality?
- JPG at 85–90 % quality is visually indistinguishable from the HEIC original for almost all photos.
- Are my photos uploaded?
- No. Everything runs in WebAssembly inside your browser. The photo never leaves your device.
- Can I batch convert?
- Yes — drop dozens of HEIC files at once and download a ZIP with all the JPGs.
- Will EXIF (date, GPS) be preserved?
- By default, Krymp preserves EXIF so date/time stays intact. You can strip GPS separately if needed.
